NEW WORK NEW RULES
New Work-New Rules (WS-1) is the first module in the Future of Work Series.
This module highlights the stark differences between the linear work environment of the 20th century and the emergence of hyper-collaboration in the 21st century. By analysing how the introduction of new technologies for architectural design and drafting have brought with them the need for teams that are made up of team members with diverse skill-sets, the course content will introduce participants to the mechanisms of managing agile teams with particular reference to individuality, team empowerment and positive personal interaction.
Office Remix (WS-2) is the second module in the Future of Work Series.
The module will focus on the positive effects of mindful design on staff well being and performance within the physical work environment. The course content will make particular reference to how new digital collaboration implicates spatial planning within the office and will offer suggestions for new design methods towards creating hard wearing, adaptive and high performance spaces of the future.
Fast forward (WS-3) is the third module in the Future of Work Series.
The course content will make particular reference to how the digital AI realm is becoming a daily physical dwelling space for meetings, hang outs and office environments highlighting how adaptive spatial planning towards the AI realm is becoming increasingly necessary in order to produce the high performance future spaces desired and required.
Change Management (WS-4) is the forth module in the Future of Work Series.
The inevitability of change is the only constant, yet Architectural businesses continue to operate in reaction to ever-evolving project demands. The change management module will explore how traditional design firms can implement the 4 strategies of proactive planning in order that they may drive design innovation as well as company culture towards the effective implementation of their change management processes.
Engagement and the Global Workplace (WS-5) is the fifth module in the Future of Work Series.
The module will focus on the Steelcase Global Report which explores the relationship between employee engagement and the work environment. It identifies one of the most serious issues facing leading organizations today – that only 13% of workers, in 17 of the world’s most important economies, are highly engaged.
Design Thinking (IDS-1) is the first module in the Interior Design & Colour Series.
The masterclass is presented by John Lam Wai (Munich) in which he shares the discrepancies and similarities of UK-South African-Chinese office space and the cultural hierarchies that inform spatial layout. An assessment of research data and spatial distribution helps to engage participants in a Q&A session about the diversity of space and the appropriation of design across different cultures.
